Our client, Siligro, is looking for a logistic team manager to join their team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands!
Sligro Food Group directly and indirectly serves the entire food and beverage market. They manage regional deliveries from their Delivery Service locations, leveraging a sophisticated logistics network, automated ordering systems, and various resources. Branch directors or CDC managers lead the delivery service locations and central distribution centres, supported by a skilled staff team.

Main Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Organise, plan, supervise, and control work execution to ensure team efficiency and meet objectives in customer satisfaction and cost;
Coach, motivate, and guide employees to optimise their performance;
Monitor and control the quality of work using provided management information;
Address reported complaints with other team leaders and employees to prevent recurrence;
Track employee attendance by recording sick and recovered employees in the absenteeism file and conducting performance reviews.
Productivity Management
Achieve productivity standards by balancing available hours and expected turnover;
Prepare weekly and monthly staffing plans and adjust them with the Production Manager as needed;
Create optimal conditions to maintain high productivity and quality, including staff deployment, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and ensuring adherence to instructions;
Directly supervise employees to meet and exceed productivity standards;
Accurately record worked hours to ensure proper payroll processing.
Order, Cleanliness, and Safety
Supervise personal hygiene, appropriate attire, and the use of safety gear, such as clean clothing and safety shoes;
Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety within the department;
Ensure correct and careful use of resources to minimise damage through direct supervision and control;
Authorised to refuse deliveries in case of violations of Critical Control Points (CCP).
Night Shift Operations
Make decisions in escalations during the absence of the Production Manager or Control Manager, based on established policies and safety regulations;
Act as the designated team leader with the “shift leader” role, responsible for overseeing the night process and managing escalations or unforeseen circumstances decisively.
The starting salary for this position depends on your experience, ranging from a minimum of €2,748.00 to a maximum of €3,718.00 per month. An additional allowance of €150 gross per month is provided for night shift work. This salary is based on a 40-hour work week rather than 36 hours, and therefore, overtime cannot be recorded.
Requirements

Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong coaching, motivational, and supervisory abilities with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position in the Netherlands;
Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of making decisions and managing escalations, especially during night shifts;
Flexibility: Willing to work various shifts, including day, evening, and night, and occasionally in cold or freezer rooms;
