Order picker for delivery (Polish language), in Germany

Our client is a mobile supermarket that specialises in home delivery of groceries. It offers everything you would find in a traditional store, from food products to baby accessories.

They are currently looking for warehouse employees to join their team in Hamm, Germany!

Main Responsibilities

  • Picking orders using a handheld scanner and a manual trolley;
  • Placing collected products according to customer orders in special baskets arranged on the trolley;
  • Quality control;
  • Stocking shelves;
  • Maintaining general order in the warehouse;
  • Labelling;
  • Folding cartons;
  • Other related tasks.

What the Company offers

  • The starting salary for this position is €13.50 gross per hour – a salary from €1100 net monthly after deductions.
  • From October 1st the salary grows to € 14.00 gross per hour – from € 1150 net monthly after deductions.
  • Contract guarantees 151 hours but on average people work 173 hours monthly.
  • You will also have access to a canteen where you can have 3 free meals a day.

Other Allowances

  • 25% for night work from 23:00 until 6:00
  • 50% for Sunday work
  • 100% for working on holidays

Saturday is a regular working day, so there are no allowances. You will work a single shift system (sometimes the second shift will be introduced, due to high demand in the warehouse), from Monday to Saturday.

Work is divided into three different departments:

  • Dry Goods Department: Products that can be stored at room temperature.
  • Chilled Department: Products requiring refrigeration; the temperature is 3 degrees Celsius (employees receive jackets and gloves from the employer).
  • Frozen Department (FR Truhen): Products requiring freezing (-18 degrees Celsius). The department’s temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius; employees only need to open freezers and retrieve products with gloves provided.

Requirements

  • CV in English is required to apply for this position;
  • All candidates have to wear long trousers at the workplace;
  • Able to work a lot during the day;
  • Physically fit;
  • No problems with walking and no chronic pain;
  • Willingness to live and work with multiple nationalities;
  • Availability to stay longer in Germany.
